1. The Church of Scotland Mission The Church of Scotland Mission through Thomas Watson and Minnie Watson purchased thirty (30) acres of forest land in Thogoto.
The Land was cleared and a temporary tent camp was established and the Watsons began a relief camp on 8th January, 1900.
This land eventually formed part of the wider mission area land where PUEA is currently located
2 The Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA)
  • The Sponsor (PCEA) has provided the University with 100 acres of land for their expansion and development of the University.
  • Through paying pending debts, the  Sponsor supported the growth of PUEA from the status of a college to  a Faith Based Chartered university .
3 Maria Zack PhD
  • He is a Professor and chair of Mathematical Information and Computer Science, Pointloma Nazarene University, San Diego, California.
  • He was instrumental in fund raising for the development of the School of Health Sciences.
4 Professor Lampe from Wartburg Theological Seminary He was involved in sourcing for computers to support the Computer Science Department.
5 Cindy Candler and Eddy Albright
  • This couple came from the First Presbyterian Church in Atlanta and the Greater Presbytery of Atlanta respectively.
  • They were very instrumental in the initial development of the University:
  • They raised funds for the Edward Danks Library
  • They fundraised for the development of the current male students’ hostels which were formally used as staff houses.
  • They also fundraised for the construction of the Anatomy building and the paving of the road from the gate to the car park.
6 First Presbyterian Church in Marietta Georgia First Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia through Jim Costen  (who was a the Development Officer at the University) fundraised for the construction of the Library worthy 575,000 USD. They also fundraised for scholarship of students and supported the operations of the university.
7 Chaplain Danks from the The Presbyterian Church of USA (PCUSA) He fundraised for the construction of house adjacent to the department of business and education).
8 Westminster Presbyterian Church Bradenton Florida
  • They raised funds to support needy students.
9 Edwin W. Albright Junior Executive Presbytery for Greater Atlanta- Promised to embark on the construction of the Phase II of the Albright Hostels.
10 Rev. Jim Hutten Cousten
  • They are currently supporting the development of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • MBF is also supporting the Diploma in Nursing by giving partial scholarships to the needy students.
11 Medical Benevolence Foundation (MBF) from the USA
  • Through the PCEA links with Presbyterian Church of USA, California collaborative links were established between The Rafiki Foundation, Inc. of USA and PUEA to promote the University in the area of training in Christian education.
  • The current collaborative initiatives focus on expanding facilities for the Schools of Theology and Education.
  • At their centre in Mwiki, the Rafiki Foundation  trains basic level teachers in Christian classical education.
  • The two partners are also discussing research and development undertakings.
12 The Rafiki Foundation, Inc, Florida – USA In the year 2017, we witnessed the completion of the Christian Education and Resource Center located next to the University’s Main entrance which will support Christian Education Studies as an integral part of the institution’s collaborative effort with the Presbyterian Church of Korea. Their support to church schools will enhance education in basic and higher education needs.
13 The Presbyterian Church of Korea
  • MOU between EAPL and PUEA to develop strategic plan in collaborations with PCEA Hospitals to improve health care in Kenya and East Africa.
  • Provide medical equipment and supplies to PUEA.
  • Provide 10% discount to all students sponsored by EAPL who meet University admission.
  • Support faculty development through scholarships to PUEA.
  • Support agribusiness and other income generating units.
14 East Africa Partnership Limited – EAPL  (Kenya & California )
  • An MOU was signed between Administration Police Service (APS) and PUEA
  • PUEA  established  and operationalized the official recognition of  chaplaincy, theology certificates, diploma and degree programmes for APS staff and immediate families.
  • The two parties were to Develop and implement short-term courses in line with Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and Psychological Counseling training offered to APs.
  • PUEA admits APs as students to the above programmes and awards PUEA certificates
15 ADMINISTRATION POLICE SERVICE (APS)
  • An MOU was signed between Administration Police Service (APS) and PUEA

  • The scope of the MOU between PUEA and Thogoto Teachers Training College states that the two institutions have a mutual consent to share available facilities such as: hall, sports facilities, library services and teaching facilities
  • PUEA  established  and operationalized the official recognition of  chaplaincy, theology certificates, diploma and degree programmes for APS staff and immediate families.
17 KIAMBU SUB-COUNTY LEVEL FIVE REFERRAL HOSPITAL
  • MOU with Kiambu Sub-County Referral Hospital for Clinical and Nursing courses placements of PUEA Students.
18 HARDIN-SIMMONS UNIVERSITY – USA
  • Linkages for Staff and students exchange programmes.
19 HIGHER EDUCATION LOANS BOARD (HELB)
  • MOU with HELB for HELB to award loans to students to cater for tuition fees; disbursed and directed through the University.
20 Mathari Hospital
  • MOU with Mathari Hospital to provide facilities for medical education and research for clinical and nursing students
21 TIMAZI AND TIMAZI MAGAZINE
  • MOU with TIMAZI and TIMAZI Magazine to market and offer PUEA exclusive publicity./span>
22 FINALTUS VENTURES LIMITED
  • MOU with Finaltus Ventures Limited: Operationalize and establish consultancy, workshop and seminars to different corporate, individual and public organizations. Enhance professional skills through training, consultancy services to corporate and public sector.
23 ICDL – Africa Limited.
  • MOU: PUEA accredited as an ICDL Testing Centre AND students to study ICDL Courses.
24 KASNEB (Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board)
  • MOU: PUEA has been accredited as a KASNEB Testing Centre and students to study KASNEB courses.
25 NETWORK FOR LEARNING (Glasgow)

MOU: NETWORKS FOR LEARNING LIMITED to undertakes to:

  • Develop appropriate business strategy of the Knowledge transfer centre.
  • Supply of ICT equipment, software and human resources (where necessary) required for revenue generation activities of the Knowledge transfer centre
  • Project management and delivery of solutions as required, while PUEA Knowledge transfer centre develops internal capacity
  • Fund raising from international agencies
  • Assisting the PUEA HR Department in identifying and recruiting lecturers for the Computer Science department.
  • Establish collaboration office in Glasgow
  • Look for opportunities for exchange programme faculty and staff.
  • Setting up of a Knowledge transfer center with fully equipped lab.
