School of business is devoted to excellent teaching, learning, research and innovation. We offer market-oriented business-related courses ranging from Masters of Business Administration, Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Diplomas in Business Administration and Certificates in Business Administration to both local and international students. Learners can specialize in Management, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, Procurement or Economics in Masters and Bachelors’ degree programmes. We also offer professional courses such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA). The courses are offered through any of the three modules; Class-Based, Online teaching and Open, Distant E- Learning (ODEL). These guarantee a flexible learning model for students depending on their needs. The student can however blend the learning modules.
The department has a team of highly trained, qualified and experienced lecturers with outstanding expertism in business courses. We use learner centered, activity based, expeditionary and technological-based instructional methods that are perfectly blend with lecturing. This enables students acquire knowledge, skills and practical experience in their area of specialization. The department also organizes field trips and attachment to enhance matching theories learnt in class with appropriate skills.
Our syllabus is reviewed annually to ensure our courses are relevant and learners acquires knowledge and skills that fits the dynamic contemporary needs on the market both locally and internationally. We do not only train learner on how to be employed but we also instill necessary entrepreneurial skills to become self employed as well as being employers.
The department is devoted in training holistic graduands with knowledge, skills, values and ethics and can fit in any form of employment and in the society. 90% of our graduands are usually assimilated in the organizations where they attend the attachment. The department has also partnered with some of the leading organizations and banks in Kenya which guarantee both attachment and jobs to our graduands. We are proud of producing the best managers, marketers, accountants, procurement officers and financial analysts in the country.
